En route
After meeting on the floor at around noon, we shared a van to Newark. Timing was a little tight because it turns out that one of us had an expired passport.. The folks at Continental went out of their way to make sure we were able to travel, even calling ahead to the airport in Mexico City where we were stopping over to make sure that we wouldn’t have issues passing through.
Things were not as smooth in Mexico though, and after waiting on the customs line for over an hour we nearly missed our flight. We were escorted through the airport with all of our luggage and when we arrived at the plane were told to wait while they went and removed the people to whom they had given our seats. In the end everyone got on and we had a lovely flight on LAN which got us into Lima around 6am. We got a van at the airport and headed for Miraflores.
