we're going.

The project participants are chosen and informed of our acceptance - we begin to plan meetings to learn more about the project and work out the details.

The project

Just south of Lima, Peru’s capital, is the Valley of Lurin, where several archeological sites have been being excavated since 1991. However, the archeological site that is located inside Cementos Lima’s (one of the 20 most important business in Peru) land, is completely surrounded by a shanty town.

Micaela is interested in making a documentary that collects the stories of how these three very different actors - the archeologists, the Private Sector and the local population who just happened to be there - interact with each other and with this space.

To be able to make this documentary video footage, audio recordings and still photographs are needed… that is where Amanda, Ari and Eduardo come in.

Planning

We started a google group to keep in touch with one another about administrative things and to share information and inspirational links.  We had several meetings between February and March, and Micaela and Eddie created the equipment list.  Some of us had to get shots in preparation for the trip.
